Job summary

MBDA is seeking an experienced Testing Engineer to lead testing strategies across the full lifecycle of Actuation Systems. The role focuses on contributing to testing strategy, building capabilities, and generating analysis scripts to support certification and fault diagnosis.

The position offers dynamic hybrid working with on-site presence 3-4 days per week and requires security clearance at BPSS level. Applicants should have degree-level qualification and strong testing expertise.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading testing strategies across full lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of dynamic systems and testing including motors and sensors.
• Knowledge of electric motors and drive/communication strategies for low-level testing.
• dSPACE proficient to enable testing.
• Experienced user of MATLAB & Simulink for data analysis.
• Experience with DOORs tools is desirable.
• Requirements generation and definitions to support testing campaigns.
• Technical documentation generation.
• Proven experience of process improvement and continuous improvement.
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence, collaborate and network.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the testing strategy and execution for Actuation Systems across projects.
• Build testing capability within the team for a wide range of products and evidence for certification.
• Create analysis scripts and diagnose fault conditions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support Design Verification Planning for Actuators and ensure adequate test coverage and data analysis.
