Job summary

Lakelovers Ambleside is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to ensure our laundry and housekeeping run smoothly, keeping every property guest-ready. You will work closely with cleaners, resolving issues on site and by phone to maintain high standards.

This flexible role suits both full-time and part-time applicants, with duties spanning daily laundry operations, stock management, linen delivery, and assisting guests and owners to uphold exceptional service.

• Manage day-to-day laundry operations and liaise with suppliers.
• Count and check freshly laundered linen; record shortfalls or rejects.
• Deliver clean linen using fleet vehicles when required.
• Conduct property inspections, corrective cleaning, and special requests.
• Prepare linen for weekly departures and maintain stock levels.
• Manage soiled linen, keeping the area tidy before collection by suppliers.
• Provide practical feedback to support departmental performance.
• Promote excellent customer service to guests and owners.
• Undertake any additional duties within the scope of the role as requested.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented LaundryAssistant to join our Lakelovers Ambleside team. You’ll be key to keeping our laundry and housekeeping running like clockwork, making sure every property is guest-ready. You’ll work closely with our cleaners, resolving laundry and housekeeping issues over the phone and face-to-face.

You’ll need to multitask, stay organised, and collaborate effectively to help maintain our high standards. This is a flexible role suitable for both full-time and part-time applicants.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage day-to-day laundry operations and liaise with suppliers
• Count and check freshly laundered linen; record shortfalls or rejects

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Calm under pressure, flexible and adaptable
• Good numerical skills and ability to use initiative
• Full, clean driving licence

Bonus points if you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment, previous experience in a similar role, and are IT literate with the ability to update stock controls.
