Another Place, The Lake is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain immaculate bedrooms, suites and shared spaces, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable guest experience at Ullswater. You will work with a motivated team, manage time effectively, and follow safety procedures to uphold our high hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong guest focus expected.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Experience in housekeeping or similar role preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and dexterity with tasks.
• Good time management and pace to complete duties on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare bedrooms, suites and shared spaces to high standards.
• Sign in/out keys following procedures.
• Keep corridors outside rooms clean and clutter-free.
• Ensure linen cupboards are tidy and stocked.
• Follow health and safety, COSHH and manual handling procedures.
• Support training and development of new team members.

Our Housekeeping
Assistant role:

Housekeeping
is at the heart of our guest experience at The Lake. Our team ensures that
every bedroom, suite, and shared space is immaculately prepared, clean, and
inviting, so that our guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.

As our
Housekeeping Assistant, you’ll take pride in the details, from perfectly made
beds and spotless bathrooms, to ensuring all amenities are in place and linen
is beautifully presented.

In this
role, you’ll be essential to the smooth running of the hotel, supporting a
polished environment for every guest. You’ll coordinate with colleagues to
manage workloads efficiently, follow health and safety standards, and
contribute to a team culture built on mutual support, respect, and excellence.

As our Housekeeping Assistant you’ll be:

• Working
  through your allocated bedrooms and suites in good time.
• Making
  sure guests always find clean and inviting accommodation.
• Following
  our procedures for signing keys in and out daily.
• Keeping
  all corridors outside rooms clean and clutter-free.
• Making
  sure linen cupboards stay clean and tidy.
• Following
  all health and safety, manual handling and COSHH procedures.
• Giving
  new team members a helping hand and supporting their training and
  development.
• Working
  together as part of our committed, efficient and dynamic team.

The skills you’ll be sharing with us:
