Job summary

JLA Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a busy, customer-facing team. You will visit care homes, hotels, restaurants and other premises, carrying out servicing and repairs to catering and laundry equipment, while complying with safety standards and DBS checks.

The role requires a UK driving licence, practical repair skills, and the ability to identify sales opportunities. A strong focus on service excellence and customer satisfaction is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing white goods equipment.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Experience managing challenging situations in customer-facing roles.
• Ability to identify selling opportunities to generate sales leads.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment as directed by Operations Support.
• Carry out safe repairs to customer and company satisfaction, fix root causes.
• Identify and submit engineer leads for upgrades and other sales.
• Leave sites clean and tidy after work.
• Provide work reports and obtain customer signatures where required.
• Support implementation of engineering best practice processes and tools.
• Keep technical and system updates current.
• Manage tooling, van stocks and parts orders for each job.
• Collaborate with Operations to meet SLAs.
