Job summary

Jobsworth Recruitment is seeking a Laser Setter Operator for a Dudley, DY2 location. The role offers Monday-Friday hours with a weekly rotating shift pattern and a hourly rate of £14.00–£14.50 for 40 hours per week.

You will be responsible for setting and operating laser cutting machinery, loading materials, and ensuring components are produced accurately and on time. This is a physical manufacturing environment with emphasis on quality control and safety.

Jobsworth Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Laser Setter Operator to join an established manufacturing business based in Dudley, DY2.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced laser operator looking for a long-term position with consistent Monday-Friday hours, working within a busy and well-established production environment.

Previous experience setting and operating laser cutting machinery is essential for this position.

The Role

Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for setting and operating laser cutting machinery and ensuring finished components are produced accurately and efficiently.

Your duties will include:

• Setting and operating laser cutting machinery
• Loading and unloading sheet metal and materials
• Removing finished components from laser machines
• Sorting and preparing parts for individual customers
• Checking finished components for quality and accuracy
• Moving materials and finished parts around the production area
• Working to production requirements and deadlines
• General production and housekeeping duties
• Following all company health and safety procedures
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

The role involves manual handling and some heavy lifting, so candidates must be comfortable working in a physical manufacturing environment.
