Job summary

MARS Recruitment has a Laser Applications Engineer role in Didcot, offering a salary of £30,000–£41,000 per year plus benefits. The successful candidate will fuse hands-on laser knowledge with micromachining process development and production support using advanced laser systems and motion control equipment.

Suitable graduates or engineers with two+ years in lasers or optical engineering will join a high-performing laboratory team, addressing UV to IR wavelengths and femtosecond to nanosecond

Qualifications

• Desirable MSc or degree in Lasers, Optical Engineering or Physics.
• Hands-on laser applications experience is advantageous.
• Experience with laser micromachining and optical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop laser micromachining processes for customers.
• Run production work on state-of-the-art laser systems.
• Collaborate with Laboratory team on QA and deployment.
