Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a Large CNC Turner for Lymington, DOE. You will programme, set and operate large CNC lathes to produce high-precision components for oil, gas, aerospace and defence sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience working with large components in a high precision manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience operating Mazak and/or Fanuc controls.
• Experience working to engineering drawings and job cards.
• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC lathes, reading and editing programs.
• Operate large CNC turning machines to produce components to specified tolerances.
• Interpret technical drawings with a strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Follow set-up sheets and job card instructions precisely on every job.
• Uphold quality and safety standards at all times.
• Mentor and coach less experienced machinists in large turning operations.
