Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a CNC Turner in Lymington to set and operate precision 3 axis Mazak lathes, producing large components to tight tolerances.

You will interpret engineering drawings, follow setup sheets, and maintain quality and safety standards. This position offers progression opportunities within a stable, well-established precision engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a high precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with large components and Mazak controls.
• Completed apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC lathes to precise specifications.
• Following set-up sheets and job card instructions accurately.
• Interpreting technical drawings, including geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintaining quality and safety standards at all times.
• Working independently or as part of a team as required.

Job description

CNC Turner | Lymington | up to £23ph

Earn up to £23 per hour as a CNC Turner setting and operating precision 3 axis lathes. You'll work to tight tolerances on large components, in a machine shop that runs on accuracy and process. This is a role for someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, every single time.

As a CNC Turner, you will benefit from:

• Working hours Monday to Thursday 6:45am to 3:30pm and Friday 7am to 1pm, with an early finish every week

As a CNC Turner, your responsibilities will include:

• Programming knowledge on Mazak controls (desirable)
• Security clearance (desirable)
