Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is seeking a CNC Turner in Lymington to set and operate precision 3-axis lathes. You’ll work with large components, following setup sheets and job cards to exact tolerances.

Mazak controls experience and a mechanical engineering apprenticeship are valued, with opportunities to progress in a stable engineering environment. This on-site role offers life-like shifts: early finish Fridays, excellent holiday entitlement, and a structured workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a high-precision manufacturing environment with large components.
• 3+ years operating Mazak controls.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and job cards.
• Completed apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
• Programming knowledge on Mazak controls desirable.
• Security clearance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC lathes to precise specifications.
• Follow set-up sheets and job card instructions accurately.
• Interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and tolerances.
• Maintain quality and safety standards at all times.

Job description

CNC Turner | Lymington | up to £23ph

Earn up to £23 per hour as a CNC Turner setting and operating precision 3 axis lathes.
You'll work to tight tolerances on large components, in a machine shop that runs on accuracy and process.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, every single time.

• Working hours Monday to Thursday 6:45am to 3:30pm and Friday 7am to 1pm, with an early finish every week

As a CNC Turner, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating CNC lathes to precise specifications

• Working independently or as part of a team as required

As a CNC Turner, your experience will include:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience operating Mazak controls
• Experience working to engineering drawings and job cards
