Job summary

Lead Careers is seeking a Landscape Planner to join a well-established multidisciplinary studio in Buckinghamshire. You will work on a varied mix of development projects, collaborating closely with ecology, arboriculture, planning and design teams to embed landscape considerations early in the process.

In this role you will contribute to Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments, landscape appraisals and planning submissions, and provide practical landscape advice to support planning.

Qualifications

  • Degree in landscape architecture required.
  • Experience in landscape planning or landscape architecture beneficial.
  • Ability to prepare written assessments and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to landscape planning for residential, commercial, infrastructure and mixed-use schemes.
  • Assist with Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments, landscape appraisals and planning submissions.
  • Provide practical landscape advice to support the planning process.
  • Collaborate with designers and specialists at different project stages.
  • Support strategic landscape thinking and team collaboration.

Role - Landscape Planner

Location - Buckinghamshire

Salary - £30K - 45K DOE

Our client, a well-established multidisciplinary studio is looking to add a Landscape Planner to its growing team. The role offers the chance to work on a varied mix of projects while being part of a genuinely collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The landscape team works closely with colleagues in ecology, arboriculture, planning and design, which means landscape considerations are embedded early and carried through properly rather than treated as an afterthought.

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be involved in landscape planning work across a range of development types, including residential, commercial, infrastructure and mixed-use schemes.

Key responsibilities will include contributing to Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments, landscape appraisals and planning submissions, as well as providing clear, practical landscape advice to support the planning process. There will also be opportunities to input into strategic landscape thinking and to work alongside designers and technical specialists at different stages of a project.

LANDSCAPE PLANNER REQUIREMENTS
  • A degree in landscape architecture
  • A background in landscape planning or landscape architecture
  • Comfortable preparing written assessments
  • Enjoys working as part of a wider project team
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate and take ownership of work is important
