Job summary

Lead Careers is seeking an Associate Landscape Planner in Leeds to join a large multidisciplinary consultancy. The role focuses on LVIA, landscape planning and masterplanning across residential, infrastructure and energy projects. You will work with environmental, planning and engineering teams in a collaborative environment.

You will contribute to bid responses, support junior staff, and help deliver high quality landscape design from concept to construction across a varied project portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Degree or postgraduate degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Experience delivering LVIA/landscape assessments.
  • Experience delivering landscape and urban design projects.
  • Experience managing landscape design during construction.

Responsibilities

  • Independently managing projects.
  • Strategic and feasibility/concept studies.
  • Landscape and visual assessment (LVIA) for linear and site projects.
  • Townscape and visual assessment (TVIA).
  • Preliminary/sketch and detailed design including general arrangement drawings.
  • Hard and soft construction detailing, schedules and specifications for planning applications.
  • Tender and construction packages, construction/post-construction inspections.
  • Support relationships with existing and new clients in public and private sectors.
  • Supporting bids for small to complex multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Managing and delegation of project work to junior team members.
  • Client liaison.

Job description

Role - Associate Landscape Planner

Location - West Yorkshire

Salary - £DOE

An opportunity has arisen for a Associate Landscape Planner to join the landscape team of a large multidisciplinary consultancy. The practice has offices across the UK and internationally, with this position based in their Leeds office.

The role will involve contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential and mixed-use developments, infrastructure schemes, renewable energy projects, urban regeneration, and strategic landscape and green infrastructure planning. You will play a key role in preparing LVIAs, landscape planning reports, and providing input into masterplanning and design strategies, working closely with colleagues across environmental, planning, and engineering disciplines.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and collaborative team, with access to a strong pipeline of projects and the support of a large, well-resourced organisation.

Landscape Architect/Planner Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree/post graduate degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Experience delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments
  • Experience in the successful delivery of landscape and urban design projects
  • Experience of managing landscape design during the construction phase
  • Excellent technical skills and proficiency in Autodesk and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Fluent spoken English with excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • A full & clean driving licence and full right to work in the UK
