Job description

((BST: 8:00 - 18:00 (Mon/Thurs) 8:00 - 16:00 (Fri)))

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Landscape Planner to join a dynamic, purpose-driven consultancy that’s challenging the status quo in the environmental sector. You’ll work at the forefront of landscape planning, helping shape diverse development projects across the UK — from urban regeneration schemes to expansive rural masterplans.

What You’ll Be Doing:

No two days are the same. Working in a creative, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll take the lead on delivering high-quality landscape planning input across all project stages, from early concept to planning submission. You’ll be instrumental in:

Overseeing the delivery of accurate, insightful and visually compelling reports

Engaging directly with clients and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, on budget, and above expectation

Leading on landscape and visual assessments, including LVAs, LVIAs, and EIA chapters

Carrying out site feasibility work and shaping development proposals from inception

Preparing strategic landscape designs and mitigation strategies

Working alongside in-house specialists in ecology, green infrastructure and arboriculture

Managing a rich and varied portfolio of urban and rural projects

Contributing to business development and future direction of the business

Having the opportunity to mentor, innovate, and take ownership of internal initiatives beyond project delivery

What We’re Looking For:

A degree in landscape architecture or a closely related discipline

Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or working towards it

Excellent communication skills — written, verbal and visual

Strong project management capabilities

Experience leading on LVIAs, LVAs, and landscape-led design strategies

A solid understanding of EIA processes and UK planning policy

Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and lead client relationships

Experience engaging with planning authorities and statutory consultees

Track record in business development and securing work

Full UK driving licence

Nice to Have:

Experience in expert witness or public inquiry work

A desire to coach and mentor others within a collaborative team

What You’ll Get in Return:

You’ll be part of a values-driven team that puts people, purpose, and wellbeing first. The culture is flexible, inclusive, and unapologetically different , with a strong emphasis on professional development and mental health. Oh and a 4 day working week with with a full time salary equivalent...
