Job summary

Veolia ES Hampshire Limited is recruiting for a Front Loader Operator based in Alton, Hampshire. You will operate Front Loading Shovels, Telehandler, and a 360 excavator to transport waste and perform routine maintenance on mobile plant.

You will liaise with site personnel and contractors, complete hours, defect sheets, and ensure correct waste types are accepted. Applicants must hold a mobile plant licence and a Full UK driving licence with own transport.

• Experience in an operational environmental setting.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport due to site location.

Responsibilities

• Operate Front Loading Shovels, Telehandler and 360 excavator to transport waste.
• Carry out routine maintenance and checks on mobile plant; record oils, water, and defects.
• Liaise with site personnel, contractors, tipping authorities and haulage team; complete paperwork.
• Ensure correct waste types are accepted; report non-conforming waste.
• Perform quality checks on outgoing recycled material and maximise weights.

Telehandler and 360-degree Excavator to transport wasteRoutine maintenance of mobile plant and equipment, including oils and water checks and reporting defectsLiaise with site personnel, contractors, tipping authorities and members of the haulage departmentComplete machine/plant hours, defect sheets and other related paperworkEnsure that the correct waste types are accepted and any non conforming wastes are reported and dealt with accordinglyCarry out quality checks on the outgoing recycled material to ensure that it meets the market quality standardsEnsure that outgoing weights of recycled material are maximisedYou may be required by the Company to work at a different location than your normal place of work, from time to time, where it is reasonable and practical to do so.
