Job summary

Veolia in Widnes is seeking an experienced waste-collection driver. You will operate a Class 2 vehicle, drive to planned collection locations, and empty waste containers while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

The role runs on a 48-hour week with early starts around 4 am, across a 5-out-of-7 rota. We offer a competitive package with pension, health support, and financial wellness tools, including earned-pay access, plus generous annual leave and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Essential Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Up-to-date CPC.
• Digi / Tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and move/empty multiple waste containers.
• Complete daily vehicle checks as per driver operator handbook.
• Use onboard technology to complete work notes.
• Ensure carriageway is left clean and spills are cleaned.
