Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Plant Operator in Marchwood to support day-to-day operations, transfer bulk liquids between storage tanks, and sample road tankers. The role includes starting and stopping plant machinery, completing check sheets, and assisting with liquid discharges from vehicles and barges.

We value numeracy, literacy, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude. A full UK driving licence and forklift experience are desirable, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy are required.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable; forklift training may be provided.
• Experience in wastewater/industrial plants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transfer bulk liquids between storage tanks and sample road tankers.
• Assist with discharge of bulk liquids from vehicles and barges.
• Start/stop plant machinery and complete daily check sheets; report defects.
• Operate forklift after training; maintain housekeeping and site cleanliness.
• Monitor contractors and visitors for safety on site; support QHSE systems.
