Summary

You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle—from initial site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition to leading a professional team through planning, construction, and ongoing asset management.

You will develop relationships with key third parties such as landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers. This role involves ownership of the full development and planning process from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, multitasking, and meeting tight deadlines.

Note: This role will be called Senior Acquisitions Consultant internally to align with company structure.

What you'll do
  • Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores
  • Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage legal and planning due diligence
  • Manage the planning application lifecycle from submission to approval
  • Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure improvement projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers
  • Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion
  • Manage real estate assets, including freehold and leasehold properties
What you'll need
  • A self-starting attitude with a drive to succeed
  • Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), ideally in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning
  • MRICS qualification (preferred)
  • Strong negotiating skills and a well-established network
  • Sound legal and commercial property knowledge
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset
  • Ability to multitask and meet conflicting deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel throughout the UK
