This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, negotiation, and acquisition of land/sites. You will lead a professional team through the planning process, obtain necessary consents, support construction, and manage assets ongoingly. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is key.
This role offers ownership of the full development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.

Note: You are expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days a week.

What you'll do

• Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals for new stores.
• Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage legal and planning due diligence.
• Manage planning applications from submission to approval and conditions discharge.
• Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with authorities, landlords, tenants, and developers.
• Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion.
• Manage real estate assets.

What you'll need

• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
• Degree (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant field.
• Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, or town planning.
• MRICS qualification preferred.
• Strong negotiation, legal, and commercial property skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
