Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent, involving the full asset lifecycle from site identification, negotiation, acquisition, planning, construction, to ongoing asset management. You will develop relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers.

This role involves ownership of the full development and planning processes, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, multitasking, and meeting tight deadlines. You will be expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your assigned area at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying, negotiating, and acquiring freehold and leasehold deals for new stores
• Undertaking site inspections, development appraisals, and managing due diligence
• Managing the planning application lifecycle from submission to discharge of conditions
• Leading expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects
• Building and maintaining relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers
• Driving the full development and planning process from concept to completion
• Managing real estate assets

Requirements:

• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
• Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), ideally in a relevant field
• Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning
• MRICS qualification preferred
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• Analytical mindset and ability to multitask
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK
