This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle, from initial site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition, to leading a professional team through planning, construction, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers will be key.
You will own the full development and planning process from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

What you'll do

  • Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores, creating opportunities
  • Undertake site inspections, development appraisals, and manage legal and planning due diligence
  • Manage the planning application lifecycle from submission to approval and conditions discharge
  • Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure improvement projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers
  • Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion
  • Manage real estate assets, including freehold and leasehold properties

What you'll need

  • A self-starting attitude with a drive to succeed
  • Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), ideally in a relevant discipline
  • Exposure to retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning
  • Ideally MRICS qualified
  • Strong negotiation skills and a well-established network
  • Sound legal and commercial property knowledge
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset and ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK
