This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition, to leading a professional team through planning, construction, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is key.
You will own the full development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

Please note: you will be expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days per week.
Internally, this role is called Senior Acquisitions Consultant.

What you'll do:

1. Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores.
2. Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage due diligence on legal and planning aspects.
3. Manage the planning application lifecycle from submission to discharge of conditions.
4. Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure improvement projects.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers.
6. Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion.
7. Manage real estate assets of freehold and leasehold properties.

What you'll need:

1. Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
2. Degree (minimum 2:2), preferably relevant discipline.
3. Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning.
4. MRICS qualification preferred.
5. Strong negotiation skills and a well-developed network.
6. Sound legal and commercial property knowledge.
7. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
8. Analytical mindset and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
10. Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
