This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, negotiation, and acquisition of land/sites. You will lead a professional team through the planning process, obtaining satisfactory consents, supporting construction, and ongoing asset management.
You will develop relationships with key third parties such as landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers. This role involves ownership of the full development and planning process from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Please note, you will be expected to be in our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days per week.
Internally, this role is called Senior Acquisitions Consultant.

What you'll do

• Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores.
• Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage due diligence.
• Manage planning applications from submission to approval.
• Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers.
• Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion.
• Manage real estate assets.

What you'll need

• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
• Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant field.
• Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, or town planning.
• MRICS qualification is preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills and network.
• Knowledge of commercial property law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
