Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to provide critical, on-site support as part of a dynamic PerkinElmer lab service team. The role is mainly responsible for routine task completion to ensure the efficient operations within the customer lab space, giving time back to the scientists. These responsibilities require a high level of attention to detail to provide a quality service.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine calibration/verification checks on a range of laboratory equipment.
2. Maintain and clean lab equipment to ensure the scientific quality of customer projects.
3. Handle general laboratory tasks, including maintenance of equipment, stocking of consumables, chemicals, reagents, and overall lab upkeep.
4. Perform specific tasks tailored to the customers’ requirements.
5. Follow SOPs, protocols, and other guidelines related to the required tasks.
6. Interact with colleagues in other functions to solve technical problems.
7. Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental, and operational aspects of daily activities.
8. Provide and escalate continuous improvement initiatives to benefit ways of working.
