Job Opportunity: Laboratory Technician

Job Details:

• Type: Full-Time Permanent
• Title: Laboratory Technician
• Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 6:30/7:00 am, 8-hour shifts
• Location: Gravesend

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine inspections, sampling, and testing of aggregate/recycled and earthworks materials, concrete, and asphalt
2. Lead the production of compressive strength specimens
3. Participate in research and development projects involving particle size and density testing
4. Perform physical material trials, report findings, and monitor progress
5. Experience working in a test lab within construction (e.g., CET, Socotec, ESG)
6. Experience as a construction materials technician, laboratory technician, or site engineer within construction
7. Knowledge of granular materials sampling, particle size distribution testing, and strength testing (beneficial)
8. Willingness to learn and develop within the role; attitude is crucial
