Job summary

ALS is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our scientific testing team. You will analyse food and environmental samples, prepare and plate, and support aseptic techniques in a high throughput lab environment.

The role is full-time permanent with a 16-hour weekend pattern, based in the UK. Expect detailed record-keeping, quality checks, and adherence to safety and quality protocols.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a high throughput working environment.
  • Good IT skills and ability to use computer systems for records.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organisational skills.
  • Precise, accurate, and detail-oriented, able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis in line with documented methodology.
  • Follow processes to maximise role efficiency and quality.
  • Conduct daily quality control checks and calibrations of equipment.
  • Keep workstation clean and tidy and maintain accurate records.
