Job summary

ALS is seeking a Senior Analyst - Grade 1 to join our environmental testing laboratory in the United Kingdom. You will oversee daily sample processing, ensure data accuracy, and support the Team Leader with planning and training. A strong QA mindset and hands-on leadership are essential for maintaining high-quality results.

The role emphasizes adherence to the Quality Management System, safety, and customer service. It offers a full-time, permanent contract with a 37-hour workweek.

Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or equivalent required.
  • Significant laboratory experience in environmental testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation.
  • Good IT skills and meticulous record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure samples are processed on time and per QMS.
  • Interpret and report analytical data accurately.
  • Supervise analysts in the absence of the Team Leader and provide training.
