Job Description

SGS is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Contaminants Laboratory team (Food industry). You will be responsible for sample preparation and extraction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform sample preparation and extraction following SGS-approved SOPs.
  • Ensure all laboratory activities comply with ISO 17025 and SGS quality systems.
  • Report any equipment or instrumentation failures to senior staff.
  • Maintain organized, auditable laboratory records.
  • Complete daily tasks efficiently to support operational output.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, following Health & Safety protocols.
Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a laboratory environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in working with food and fast paced environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Good organisational skills to maintain records and compliance.
  • Proactive approach to learning and development.
