Start date: Monday 8th September 2025
At Anglian Water, we are united by a shared purpose: to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region we serve through our commitment to Love Every Drop. This mission underpins everything we do, from delivering safe, clean drinking water to supporting local communities and protecting our natural environment.
As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you won’t just be starting a job—you’ll be launching a meaningful career. You’ll combine your passion for science and the planet with hands-on experience and nationally recognised qualifications. It’s your chance to make a real impact, help shape a more sustainable future, and turn your passion for the environment into a purpose-driven profession.
Your journey:
This isn’t your typical 9–5. Imagine yourself in a laboratory environment, where you'll be hands-on with analysing samples and learning a broad range of techniques across both life sciences and chemistry. From day one, you’ll be supported by experienced professionals who’ll guide you through your development. You'll get the chance to work with cutting-edge equipment while also mastering traditional methods, giving you a well-rounded skill set. As you deepen your understanding of the samples you work with, you'll see firsthand how your contributions impact our operations, customers, and the environment. You’ll follow water on its journey from source to tap, playing a crucial role in maintaining its safety and quality every step of the way.
When you aren't in the lab, you will be studying at West Suffolk College one day a week, as we are committed to nurturing your talent and helping you reach your full potential.
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, this role may require possible shift work of 10.5-hour days on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
What are we looking for?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from individuals who already hold a degree in a science-related field.
Why join Anglian Water?
