Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Business Support Officer for our Manchester laboratory, handling customer enquiries, quotations, and day-to-day commercial administration. You will be a key contact for existing and prospective customers, helping them access the right analytical services and ensuring quotations, sample media orders and follow-up activity are managed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management and attention to detail; able to meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; work independently or in a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional telephone manner; full clean driving licence.
• Experience in customer service, quotation preparation or sales administration desirable.
• Laboratory knowledge or experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations, follow up opportunities and build positive relationships with customers.
• Develop a working knowledge of laboratory analytical services to support clear customer communication.
• Manage enquiries, sample media orders and deadlines with strong attention to detail and reliable administration.
• Liaise effectively with customers, laboratory teams and senior managers to resolve enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Review customer spending and financial data to identify trends, repeat business potential and chargeable opportunities.
