Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Lab Technician in Belfast, Victoria Square, to prepare customer spectacle orders to the highest standard. You will read prescriptions, set and glaze lenses into frames, and perform minor repairs while maintaining accuracy and meeting customer timelines.

Ideal candidates will have optical lab experience, be great communicators, and possess a detail-oriented, flexible, and organized approach. Full-time role with parking concessions and probationary period benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an optical lab with prescriptions and lens/frame specs.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in glazing.
• Excellent communication to assist customers and colleagues.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and priorities.

As a Lab technician you will use the latest computer-controlled equipment with an eye for detail & accuracy, allowing you to maintain high standards to maximise customer satisfaction.

With your previous knowledge of an Optical Lab, you will be part of a team responsible for preparing customer’s spectacle orders to the highest standard and be confident with the following responsibilities:

• Accurately reading lens and frame specifications from prescriptions that are received
• Setting and glazing lenses into frames ensuring attention to detail at all times
• Complete necessary minor repairs and adjustments
• Working towards agreed timeframes to meet customer expectations
