Job summary

Specsavers in Wetherby is seeking a hardworking Trainee Optical Lab Technician to provide high-quality hear and eye care support. You will join a community-focused team, with training and development opportunities, and work 32 hours over 4 days, including one weekend day (Saturday).

Salary starts at £12.91 per hour, with benefits such as Friends and family discount, Specsavers Perks, extra day off for your birthday, and access to the UK confidential helpline.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within an optical lab would be beneficial but not essential.
• IT confident
• A real team player
• Confident working in a fast paced enviornment

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer prescriptions to the highest standards using computer-controlled equipment.
• Repair spectacles when needed, including glazing and tinting lenses.
• Learn and develop knowledge with the help of experienced colleagues.

What’s on offer?

What you will do?

As a Laboratory Technician in our store, you’ll be preparing customer prescriptions to the highest standards and using the latest computer-controlled equipment. One day you could be repairing spectacles, the next, you could be glazing and tinting lenses. The important thing is that you’ll be learning all the time – building on your knowledge with the help of your expert colleagues.
