Job summary

Uplift360 is inviting a Digitalisation Intern for a 3- to 5-month placement in Bristol (Old Market). The role sits at the crossroad of science, software development, and digital infrastructure, offering hands-on project work to modernise laboratory workflows.

The successful candidate will collaborate with R&D and technical teams, implement practical digital solutions, and contribute to data capture, storage and automation initiatives to improve lab efficiency.

Qualifications

• Essential knowledge across engineering, maths or CS with digital focus.
• Familiarity with coding and software development/building is expected.
• Awareness of AI tools and their practical applications.

Responsibilities

• Map current lab workflows and identify opportunities to digitise processes.
• Design and build practical digital tools for data capture, storage and access.
• Apply AI and automation to streamline repetitive tasks and improve data quality.
• Support the development and integration of digital infrastructure to connect lab systems.
• Document solutions clearly for maintenance and scaling by the team.
