Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Level 2 Nursery Teaching Assistant to support learning and development across private day nurseries in Peterborough. You will assist with EYFS activity planning and help create a safe, inclusive environment for young children.

The role emphasizes teamwork with nursery staff and parents, observing progress and contributing to a stimulating early years setting. A DBS check is required, or applicants may apply through Teaching Personnel.

Qualifications

About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and nurturing Level 2 Nursery Teaching Assistants to work across a number of welcoming private day nurseries in the Peterborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young children's learning and development within a caring and stimulating early years environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing within the nursery setting.
• Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages children to thrive.
• Work collaboratively with nursery staff, parents, and carers to support each child's development.
• Observe, monitor, and record children's progress and achievements.

Requirements

• A relevant Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
• A genuine passion for supporting young children in their early stages of development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.
