Aspire People is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for the nursery provision at a Rochdale school. You will join a supportive team delivering early years activities and promoting children’s development in a caring setting.

Based in the 2-year-old room, the role requires patience, strong communication and a commitment to safeguarding. This is a full-time, school-hours position with a focus on helping every child reach their potential from the start of their education.

Qualifications

  • Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification.
  • Experience in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to complete safeguarding and recruitment checks.

Responsibilities

  • Support 2-year-old children in their daily learning and development.
  • Assist with the delivery of engaging early years activities.
  • Encourage communication, language and social development.
  • Support children's personal care routines when required.
  • Promote positive behaviour and independence.
  • Help create a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Contribute to observations and assessments in line with the EYFS.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Nursery)
  • Location: Rochdale
  • Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, School Hours
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

Aspire People is working in partnership with a large and well-established primary school in Rochdale to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join its nursery provision on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be based within the school's dedicated nursery site, supporting children in the 2-year-old provision. This is an excellent opportunity to join a nurturing early years environment where children are encouraged to become confident, happy and successful learners from the very beginning of their educational journey. The school prides itself on working closely with families and the wider community to ensure all children receive the best possible start in life.

This role will involve supporting the learning, development and wellbeing of children within the 2-year-old room. You will work closely with nursery staff to create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment that promotes children's social, emotional and educational development.

The successful candidate must be comfortable supporting children's personal care needs and understand the importance of delivering this support in a caring, respectful and age-appropriate manner.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills

Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance, Childcare or Early Years
