Job summary

RedTech seeks a Platform Engineer (graduate considered) to join a specialist platform team responsible for infrastructure, tooling and automation enabling engineering teams to develop, deploy and operate software effectively. This hands-on role has Kubernetes at its core, spanning container orchestration, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability and cloud-native tech.

Location: London with 2 days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• Commercial or graduate experience with Kubernetes in production.
• Experience operating, troubleshooting and scaling Kubernetes clusters.
• Understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, RBAC and scheduling.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Understanding of networking and security principles.
• Experience with source control systems and basic scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
• Strong troubleshooting and collaborative skills; ability to work with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and evolve Kubernetes platforms across environments.
• Ensure applications can be deployed reliably and at scale.
• Collaborate with software teams to meet infrastructure requirements.
• Improve reliability, observability and performance of clusters.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery.
• Develop and improve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automate operational processes and improve developer experience.
• Support cloud infrastructure usage by engineering teams.
