Job summary

RedTech is seeking a Platform Engineer to join a specialist platform team responsible for Kubernetes-driven infrastructure, automation and cloud-native tooling. This hands-on role focuses on enabling engineering teams to develop, deploy and operate software at scale.

The successful candidate will work across Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC and observability, with London-based work two days per week in the office and flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and scaling Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security and RBAC within Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC.
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Good understanding of observability and cloud-native tooling.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and evolve Kubernetes platforms across environments.
• Ensure reliable and scalable application deployments.
• Collaborate with software teams to meet infrastructure requirements.
• Improve reliability, observability and performance of clusters.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines andIaC using Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Automate operational processes and improve developer experience.
• Support cloud infrastructure usage and production transition of apps.
• Embed security best practices in platform architecture.
• Monitor platform components and push platform improvements.
