Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Post-Primary Teacher to deliver Mathematics at Key Stage 4. The role requires a teaching qualification recognised to teach in grant-aided schools in Northern Ireland and a degree with Mathematics as the main subject.

You will employ diverse teaching strategies, assess pupil progress, and work with colleagues, parents and the wider school community to raise achievement while upholding safeguarding and inclusion standards.

Qualifications

• Qualifications must be obtained by the closing date for applications.
• Minimum of one year’s demonstrable experience of teaching Mathematics at Key Stage four.
• Must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI) before taking up post.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare courses and lessons for Key Stage 4 Mathematics.
• Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the learning needs of pupils.
• Assess, record and report on pupil progress and attainment.
• Promote the general progress and well-being of pupils and provide guidance on educational matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with parents and external bodies as required.
