Job summary

Causeway Academy seeks a Teacher - Post-Primary to join our team across Carthall and Bushmills Campuses. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics to Key Stage 4 pupils, plan and assess lessons, and contribute to school-wide curriculum development.

Essential criteria include a teaching qualification for Northern Ireland and a Mathematics degree, plus experience and safeguarding knowledge. The post offers a fixed-term contract and full-time hours within a supportive, inclusive school

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with Mathematics as main subject.
• Demonstrable KS4 teaching experience.
• Knowledge of NI Curriculum and safeguarding policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare courses and lessons; teach Mathematics to Key Stage 4 pupils.
• Assess, record and report pupil progress and attainment.
• Provide guidance to pupils on education and career options; work with parents and external bodies.
• Participate in staff development and school meetings; contribute to curriculum development.
• Ensure pupil safety and wellbeing in accordance with school policies.
