Job summary

The Newbridge School in Wales is seeking a Numeracy Intervention Tutor to deliver targeted KS3 maths support for 37 hours per week during term-time (39 weeks per year). You will run small-group sessions and track progress to boost confidence and achievement.

You will work with the Numeracy Coordinator and maths department to identify gaps, adapt teaching approaches, and report outcomes. A relevant qualification or experience in education is required, with patience and strong communication

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or supporting Maths at Key Stage 3
• Ability to work with small groups and individual learners
• Patient, encouraging and able to motivate learners
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Sound knowledge of the National Numeracy Tests
• Hold relevant qualifications or experience in education/support work

Responsibilities

• Deliver numeracy intervention sessions for Key Stage 3 students
• Support pupils who require additional help in Maths
• Work closely with the Numeracy Coordinator and Maths department to identify learning gaps
• Build students' confidence, engagement and problem-solving skills
• Monitor and report on student progress
