Job summary

George Eliot Academy in Coventry seeks a dedicated tutor to work with small groups of KS3/KS4 pupils in Maths. The role focuses on personalised tutoring during timetabled lessons to help pupils reach their academic goals.

You will collaborate with teachers to identify intervention focus areas, provide constructive feedback, and uphold safeguarding and confidentiality across all duties.

Qualifications

• Work in small groups with pupils in personalised tutoring sessions.
• To provide high level of teaching in specialist subject for year groups 7 - 11.

Responsibilities

• Work in small groups with pupils in personalised tutoring sessions, supporting individual pupils with their specific educational requirements, in order to enable them to achieve their academic goals.
• To provide high level of teaching in specialist subject for year groups 7 - 11.
• Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
• To liaise with classroom teachers and curriculum leaders to identify focus areas for intervention.
• To provide objective and accurate feedback to teachers
• To ensure strict confidentiality in all areas of work
• To understand and comply with the statutory guidance regarding safeguarding of children, always ensuring the safeguarding and promotion of children’s welfare, reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Officer immediately.
