Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS3 Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to learners across the BCP area, working on behalf of Local Authorities. You will support students with diverse needs, help raise engagement, and tailor sessions to KS3 requirements.

Flexible hours and long-term placements are available, with DBS checks encouraged and local travel supported. This role offers meaningful impact outside a traditional classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting (tutoring, teaching, TA, mentoring, learning support)
• Experience supporting secondary-aged learners
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 curriculum
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable and proactive approach
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred or travel across the BCP area
