Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS3 Tutor in the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole area to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition for Key Stage 3 learners through local authority placements. The role focuses on re-engaging students who face barriers to learning and requires adaptable teaching methods to build confidence and progress.

You will work with learners with SEND or additional needs, plan engaging sessions, and travel locally across the BCP region.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational settings (tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of KS3 curriculum and ability to tailor sessions.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND or additional needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 KS3 tuition across the BCP area.
• Support learners to re-engage with learning and build confidence.
• Plan and adapt sessions to meet individual needs and progress.
