Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Secondary Education Tutor to support learners in Southampton and surrounding Hampshire. You will provide personalised 1:1 tuition to secondary students, focusing on engagement, confidence-building and academic progress.

Start date from September with flexible hours and a role that partners with Local Authorities to deliver tailored tutoring across KS3 and KS4 subjects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Experience supporting secondary-aged learners
• Strong subject knowledge in one or more curriculum areas
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within Hampshire
