Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a Lower Secondary Tutor to support KS3 learners in the DT7 area through personalised 1:1 tuition on behalf of Local Authorities.

The role focuses on helping students who may have gaps in learning, disruptions, or SEND needs, with flexible hours and opportunities for long-term placements.

Applicants should have at least 6 months educational experience, KS3 curriculum knowledge, DBS Update Service preferred, and a willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting (tutoring, teaching, or related roles).
• Experience supporting secondary-aged learners.
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 curriculum.
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND / EHCPs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 tuition to KS3 learners.
• Support learners with SEND or additional needs as appropriate.
• Deliver engaging and personalised sessions to build confidence.
• Travel locally within the DT7 area for placements.
