Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to support primary learners across the BCP area with tailored 1:1 tuition in core subjects, especially English and Maths. You will work on behalf of Local Authorities to help children gain confidence and make progress, adapting each session to individual needs and SEND considerations, with flexible hours and a September start.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Experience supporting primary-aged pupils
• Good knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
• Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across the BCP area
