Job summary

Teach Now is recruiting a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support learning in a Barnet primary. You will assist across Key Stage 2, working with the class teacher and wider school team. This is a full-time, long‑term, temporary role with a start date of 1 September 2026.

Daily pay is £90–£100, and you will deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions. Join a welcoming school community focused on pupil progress and inclusive learning.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar school-based role.
  • Confidence supporting pupils across KS2.
  • A competent, proactive and reliable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to support whole-class, 1:1 and intervention work.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A positive attitude and genuine interest in supporting children’s learning.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the whole class during lessons and activities.
  • Working 1:1 with pupils when additional support is needed.
  • Delivering small-group intervention work to help pupils make progress.
  • Supporting pupils with confidence, independence and engagement.
  • Helping prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and participation.
  • Working closely with teachers to support pupil outcomes.
  • Contributing to a calm, focused and inclusive classroom environment.
