Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming Buckinghamshire school. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Years 3–6, differentiate for all abilities, assess progress, and support safeguarding and behavior expectations.

This full-time role offers collaborative working, ongoing professional development, and involvement in school events. A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, is required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to differentiate effectively to meet individual learning needs.
• Experience with assessment and progress tracking.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and inclusive lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
• Teach pupils across Years 3–6, adapting lessons to meet a range of abilities, learning needs, and individual requirements.
• Develop pupils' knowledge and skills across core subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and the wider curriculum.
• Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, confidence, and a love of learning.
• Use a range of effective teaching strategies and resources to support pupil engagement and progress.
• Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
• Identify pupils who may require additional support and work with colleagues and support staff to ensure their individual needs are met.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement, and respect within the classroom.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and the wider school community.
• Contribute to planning, assessment, school events, enrichment activities, and wider school initiatives where required.
• Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils, promoting confidence and independence.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
