Job summary

The Education Specialists are recruiting on behalf of a Primary School in the Oldham area (OL1) for a Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with additional needs. The successful candidate should be available to start once safeguarding checks are completed.

The role involves supporting individuals and small groups, promoting independence, and working closely with teachers to implement behaviour strategies and provide a stable learning environment. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Qualifications

• Must hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to purchase one and pass safeguarding checks.
• Experience working with children and young people, especially in school settings.
• Experience with supporting KS2 pupils and managing SEN needs.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to complete set tasks within the classroom.
• Promote independence within the school environment.
• Support small groups under direction of the teacher.
• Implement behaviour strategies.
• Work with teachers and other TAs to provide a positive learning environment.
• Support SEN pupils.
• Supervise activities with pupils.
• Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm.
