Job summary

The Education Specialists are recruiting for a Primary School in the Oldham area (OL1) to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with additional needs. The successful candidate should be available to start as soon as safeguarding checks are completed.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm, with excellent pay rates and APSCO-accredited recruitment practices. DBS checks are required or applicants can arrange one at their own cost.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant qualification required.
• Significant experience working in schools.
• Experience with SEN pupils is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to complete set tasks within the classroom.
• Promote independence within the school environment.
• Support small groups under direction of the teacher.
• Implement behaviour strategies.
• Work with teachers and TAs to provide a positive learning environment.
• Supervise activities with pupils.
