Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a dedicated KS2 Primary School Teacher to join a lovely primary school in Newark from the end of November.

The role involves planning and delivering KS2 lessons, adapting for SEND, assessing progress, and fostering a nurturing classroom with strong relationships with families. The position offers competitive pay (£170‑£220 per day), weekly PAYE, and support from a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• QTS and KS2 teaching experience.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Nurturing, caring approach to pupil well‑being.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons.
• Adapt teaching to meet different learning needs (including SEND).
• Assess progress and provide feedback for next steps.
• Create a nurturing classroom with clear routines and positive behaviour.
• Work closely with colleagues and families to support pupils’ development.

The role will involve:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum.

• Assessing progress and using feedback to support each pupil’s next steps.
• Creating a nurturing classroom with clear routines and positive behaviour.
• Working closely with colleagues and families to support pupils’ development.

The successful teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in KS2.
• A strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
• A nurturing, caring approach to teaching and pupil well-being.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• A commitment to inclusive teaching and helping every child succeed.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
