Job summary

Windwhistle Primary School in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs, deliver targeted interventions and assist teaching in our specialist resource hub.

This fixed-term, part-time post runs for 16 hours 15 minutes per week during term time, starting 2 November 2026, with a salary of £10,150.05 to £11,165.56, and a range of professional development opportunities and supportive working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions and small group support.
• Support teaching and learning within the specialist resource hub.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN professionals and support staff.
• Help pupils develop communication, social and emotional skills.
